Pilgrims’ Corner
Figeac: one town, three Camino routes
– The Rocamadour Route (GR6) climbs through the landscapes of Ségala, Limargue and the Causses.
– The main Camino Route (GR65) and the Célé Valley Route (GR651) — wilder and more athletic — diverge at Béduer, about 13 km from Figeac.
How to reach the GR65 and GR651 (Main Camino and Célé Valley routes):
Turn right when leaving Soleilho, then left onto Rue Tomfort. Go around Saint Sauveur Church to reach the Célé River. Follow the Célé on your right until you reach the footbridge that marks the start of the GR65/GR651 trail.
How to reach the GR6 (Rocamadour route):
Turn right when you exit, then right onto Rue Tomfort and take the second left (Rue Emile Zola). Cross Place Champollion and take Rue Séguier, which begins on the right between Place Champollion and Place Carnot. Continue straight ahead. Rue Séguier becomes Rue d’Aujou, then Rue des Maquisards. When you reach the Carmes church, turn right onto Avenue Casimir Marcenac, which runs behind the church. You will find the start of the path 75 meters ahead on your left (Chemin de la Curie).
